Moldova - Agency for Land Relations and Cadastre (ALRC)

Moldova:

Since 2006 Statens kartverk is implementing a project on orthophoto production in Moldova on behalf of the Norwegian Ministry of Foreign Affairs (NMFA) as the donor. The recipient organisation is the Agency for Land Relations and Cadastre (ALRC) in Moldova, which is a national state institution in charge of property registration, mapping and cadastre.

During April to October 2007 the entire territory of Moldova was covered with aerial photography with 40 cm resolution and, in addition 44 urban areas with 20 cm resolution. The final data was delivered in April 2008. Under supervision of SK quality control was undertaken by State Institute INGEOCAD, which is a subordinate to the Agency institute for Geodesy, Technical Research and Cadastre.

.In June 2008 SK received a new grant for implementation of Moldova Orthophoto Project Phase 3 aiming at establishing capacity at the ALRC to ensure efficient use of the orthophoto data in public and private sector.

This project main task is to establish a web-portal (web application server with wms-service.)
